At
Cockatoo Montessori School, our week is constructed
to encourage the children to build their levels of concentration.
After settling in each morning, children have a long
period of available work time in which they are free
to focus on a variety of tasks. Afternoons are generally
lighter periods of work, with class meetings held for
6-12s after lunch on Fridays.
Our
early finish at the end of each week, allows staff to
meet regularly for planning, professional development
and administration. As we give the children our full
attention during teaching hours,
we ask that you make an appointment outside of these
times if you would like to speak with a staff member.
We have no regular assembly, but may come together as
a school community for special events.
